This action adventure novel stands out due to the authors grasp on description and suspense, interspersed with magical fiction. You feel like you are there, great passion is put into the piece and it shows. The pace of the book is just right, I hate short novels that you just get into and then they end too soon, I like to read all day when sun bathing or doing house work. I have discovered that I only burn my dinner when I have a great book in my hand, needless to say this was a burnt dinner book! Loved it from the start and Tata the eunuch is a formidable lovable character. The story is spell blindingly brilliant! I ONLY REVIEW BOOKS I LOVE, and this is a must read to anyone that likes ancient action adventure thrillers.
