This is the somewhat rambling autobiography of Hunter Thompson, father of Gonzo journalism. It's actually quite light on the biography side, and largely revolving around a couple of interweaving stories. You come away with a sense of a man under pressure, clarified, in the final stages by the authors untimely end. Not what I expected, but a decent final offering from a legend in his own right.
