Picked this up at the bookstore a few weeks ago to read with my 2 young, home schooled boys... We have had so much fun reading each of the Spiderwick Chronicles.. Each book has 7 chapters, so we aimed for a chapter a night.. but some nights we just can't wait and have to read another.The story is about 2 young boys (Jared and Simon - about age 9, twins) and their older sister, Mallory.. Jared is having issues dealing with his parents divorce, Simon collects and cares for animals and Mallory is into fencing. Due to their parents divorce, they move into an aunts dilapitated house (the aunt is in a hospital).
In The Field Guide, they discover a secret room and a Guide book to a whole other world or critters and creatures.. Mysterious and "ornery" things begin to happen and because of Jared's 'issues', he is blamed ~ when really they've just got a Boggart in the house...
