Jane Eyre is said to be one of the greatest of the greats, and it truly is! It's a romance, but it's also a tale of a woman struggling to find her independence in society, to earn a name for herself, and not by what fate has given her. As far as romances go, this is one of the greats! The love in this story is far from shallow and raw passion, it's passionate, yes, but also a strong and binding love.
