Tofino is a small town on the west side of Vancouver Island, right on the Pacific Ocean. It is known as Canada’s surfing mecca. As this book says, there are lots of things to do in Tofino that do not involve surfing. A person can hike through the nearby rain forest, go whale watching, sample local First Peoples culture, or just hang out and enjoy the vibe.Tofino sounds like a great place to visit to get away from it all. This very complete book, with addresses, phone numbers and websites, is well worth the money for any such visitor.
