Description
Alan Groombridge, a middle-aged bank manager with a dreary wife and two self-centered children, seizes an opportunity to escape his humdrum life when two layabouts stage a robbery of his bank, providing a cover for Alan's own theft of 3000 pounds. He ends up paying for his short-lived freedom with his life, in an indirect and ironic fashion.
